Spirit Week

To celebrate the last week of school, we have decided to have a Spirit Week. This week will entail dressing up according to certain themes and sports tournaments between the SOC Houses. Here's the themes and sports for each day of the week:

Theme Descriptions

  • Twin day: Come to school with someone dressed identically. This means both of you have to look the same from head to toe. There could also be three or four people dressed the same.

  • Student/Teacher day: Students come to school dressed as teachers, while teachers come to school dressed as students.

  • Wacky day & Anything but a Backpack day: Come to school looking as wacky as possible. You should look borderline insane. Also come to school carrying your stuff in anything but a backpack. This could be things like a paper bag, a pot, nylon bags, etc.

Notes:

  • For each chess, dodgeball, soccer, volleyball, and basketball, two houses will play against eachother. The house that wins will play the other house in the next round.

  • On each day with a theme, someone will be voted best dressed according to how well they matched the theme. Whoever wins gets extra points for their house.

  • If you plan on playing sports, bring the required shoes and attire to change into.

  • The sack race may or may not happen.

  • There are points allocated for participation from every member of your house.

  • Dodgeball, soccer, volleyball, and basketball will be done in the gym. Chess will be done in the cafeteria.
